Throughout the United States, the first and most enduring mission of Conservation Districts has been to assist farmers in reducing the amount of soil erosion occurring on their fields.  Today, Districts work in partnership with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Michigan Department of Agriculture's Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) to assist agriculture producers in their efforts to be effective stewards of their soil, water, wildlife and forests.  We invite you to visit the other pages under this tab to learn more about these programs.
