The Wexford Conservation District got its start partnering with the USDA- Natural Resources Conservation Service (formerly the Soil Conservation Service)  in assisting farmers with addressing the severe soil erosion of the Dust Bowl days.  Together, the District and the USDA-NRCS now assist agricultural producers on an wide variety of environmental issues such as:
  • Soil Conservation
  • Irrigation Scheduling & Management
  • Manure Management
  • Comprehensive Nutrient Management
  • Windbreaks
  • Agrichemical Handling Facilities
  • Pasture Management
