Through a generous grant from the Wexford Sand Company, the District is able to visit every Third Grade classroom in Wexford County and provide an educational program that covers the history of Michigan's state tree, how to plant a tree, and where students can go to see virgin stands of white pine.  In addition, every student is provided with a free white pine seedling that they can take home and plant.  Many thanks to the Wexford Sand Company for supporting conservation education in our county!

If you are interested in an Outdoor Education program for your club or classroom, please contact the District office at (231) 775-7681, extension 3.
